Al-Haqqah · Ayah 20

إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَـٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ 20

Translations

Indeed, I was certain that I would be meeting my account."

Transliteration

Innī ẓannantu annī mulāqī ḥisābiyah

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah represents the statement of a believer on the Day of Judgment who says, 'I always thought (believed with certainty) that I would meet my Lord for reckoning.' According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari, this reflects the faith of those who held firm conviction in the Hereafter during their worldly life, and now their belief is confirmed as they stand before Allah's judgment.
