Transliteration
Wa fi khalqikum wa ma yabuthhu min dabbatin ayatun liqawmin yooqinoon
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah emphasizes that the creation of human beings and the dispersal of animals throughout the earth are clear signs (ayat) of Allah's power and wisdom for those who possess certainty of faith (yaqin). Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari interpret this as an invitation to contemplate the miraculous diversity and complexity in human creation and animal life as evidence of Divine design, accessible only to those with firm conviction in Allah.
Revelation Context
This ayah appears in the Meccan surah Al-Jathiyah, which addresses the polytheists' denial of resurrection and Allah's signs. The broader context (45:3-4) presents creation itself as undeniable proof of Allah's existence and power, challenging the disbelievers to recognize these manifest signs.
Related Hadiths
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Contemplate the creation of Allah, but do not contemplate the essence of Allah, for contemplating His creation increases knowledge and contemplating His essence causes blindness' (Sunan Ibn Majah). Additionally, Hadith Qudsi: 'I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard' relates to the hidden wisdom in creation.
