Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah describes the resurrection of the dead on the Day of Judgment, depicting how people will emerge from their graves with humbled, cast-down eyes, scattered like locusts in all directions. The imagery of locusts conveys the massive multitude of humanity rising simultaneously, overwhelmed and disoriented. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi interpret this as emphasizing the terror and humiliation of that Day, when people will be resurrected in a state of weakness and awe before Allah's majesty.
