وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ 62
Translations
And never let Satan avert you. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
Transliteration
Wa lā yaṣiddannakumu ash-shayṭānu, innahu lakum ʿaduwwun mubīn
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah is a direct command from Allah warning the believers not to let Satan turn them away from the path of truth and monotheism. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi explain that Satan is presented as an open and manifest enemy whose enmity toward humanity is well-established and undeniable. And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].
وَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِۦ كَـٰفِرُونَ
But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are, concerning it, disbelievers."
أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers [i.e., angels] are with them recording.
