Ya-Sin · Ayah 55

إِنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍ فَـٰكِهُونَ 55

Translations

Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

Transliteration

Inna ashaaba al-jannati al-yawma fi shughlin fakihun

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah describes the inhabitants of Paradise on the Day of Judgment as being occupied and engaged in enjoyment and delight. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, 'shughulin' (occupied) refers to their engagement in pleasures and blessings, while 'fakihun' (delighted/amused) emphasizes their state of joy and contentment in Paradise. The ayah contrasts the blessed state of the righteous with the suffering of those in Hell, highlighting the ultimate reward for those who obeyed Allah.
