Consequences of persistent disbelief and idol-worship

فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَىٰهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَـٰمِدِينَ

And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].
