the futility of resistance against Allah's will

وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَظَلُّوا۟ فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ

And [even] if We opened to them a gate from the heaven and they continued therein to ascend,
