the unreliability of following desires over guidance

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًا

He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
