وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 9
Translations
And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise].
Transliteration
Wa alladhina amanu wa amilu assalihati lanudhkhilannuhum fi assaliheen
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah promises that those who believe in Allah and perform righteous deeds will be admitted among the righteous (as-saliheen) in Paradise. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this ayah emphasizes that true faith must be accompanied by virtuous actions, and such believers will be granted the honor of joining the company of the righteous in the hereafter. And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not.
أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ
So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know.
