وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 9
Translations
And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise].
Transliteration
Wa alladhina amanu wa amilu assalihati lanudhkhilannuhum fi assaliheen
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah promises that those who believe in Allah and perform righteous deeds will be admitted among the righteous (as-saliheen) in Paradise. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this ayah emphasizes that true faith must be accompanied by virtuous actions, and such believers will be granted the honor of joining the company of the righteous in the hereafter. And when Our messengers [i.e., angels] came to Lot, he was distressed for them and felt for them great discomfort. They said, "Fear not, nor grieve. Indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife; she is to be of those who remain behind.
وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
