Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah promises that those who believe in Allah and perform righteous deeds will be admitted among the righteous (as-saliheen) in Paradise. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this ayah emphasizes that true faith must be accompanied by virtuous actions, and such believers will be granted the honor of joining the company of the righteous in the hereafter. The phrase 'among the righteous' signifies not merely salvation, but elevation to a high spiritual station alongside the pious servants of Allah.

Revelation Context

This ayah appears in Surah Al-'Ankabut, a Meccan chapter that addresses the trials faced by believers and emphasizes the inseparable link between faith (iman) and good deeds (amal as-salih). The surah's broader context deals with testing and patience, making this verse a reassurance that steadfast believers will achieve the ultimate reward.
