وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ فِى ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ 9
Translations
And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise].
Transliteration
Wa alladhina amanu wa amilu assalihati lanudhkhilannuhum fi assaliheen
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah promises that those who believe in Allah and perform righteous deeds will be admitted among the righteous (as-saliheen) in Paradise. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this ayah emphasizes that true faith must be accompanied by virtuous actions, and such believers will be granted the honor of joining the company of the righteous in the hereafter. The example of those who take allies other than Allāh is like that of the spider who takes [i.e., constructs] a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
وَٱلَّذِينَ جَـٰهَدُوا۟ فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَمَعَ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allāh is with the doers of good.
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِقَآئِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَئِسُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَتِى وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allāh and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment.
