وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ 19
Translations
And those who have believed in Allāh and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.
Transliteration
Wa alladhina amanu billahi wa rusulih, ulaika hum al-siddiqun wa al-shuhada inda rabbihim, lahum ajruhum wa nuruhum. Wa alladhina kafaru wa kadhdhaba bi-ayatina, ulaika ashab al-jahim.
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah establishes a clear distinction between two groups: believers who have faith in Allah and His messengers are characterized as al-siddiqun (the truthful ones) and al-shuhada (the witnesses/martyrs), who will receive their reward and divine light from their Lord.
