Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah affirms Allah's absolute knowledge of all unseen matters in the heavens and earth, and His complete awareness of all human actions. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari, this verse emphasizes that nothing is hidden from Allah—whether hidden intentions, secret thoughts, or deeds done in darkness—and serves as a powerful reminder that humans are constantly under divine observation and will be held accountable. The phrase 'Baseerun' (All-Seeing) conveys not merely knowledge but active, perfect vigilance over creation.

This ayah concludes Surah Al-Hujurat, which addresses social ethics and etiquette within the Muslim community. The broader context of the surah focuses on correcting misconceptions and establishing proper conduct. This final verse serves as a comprehensive conclusion, reminding believers that regardless of their outward behavior, Allah's knowledge encompasses all reality, making sincere internal intention and righteous action imperative.

Key Lesson
