Al-Ma'idah · Ayah 119

قَالَ ٱللَّهُ هَـٰذَا يَوْمُ يَنفَعُ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ صِدْقُهُمْ ۚ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا ۚ رَّضِىَ ٱللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا۟ عَنْهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ 119

Translations

Allāh will say, "This is the Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness." For them are gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allāh being pleased with them, and they with Him. That is the great attainment.

Transliteration

Qala Allahu hadha yawmu yanfau as-sadiqina sidquhum, lahum jannatun tajri min tahtiha al-anharu khalidina fiha abada, radi Allahu anhum wa radu anhu, dhalika al-fawz al-azim.

Tafsir (Explanation)

Allah declares that the Day of Judgment is when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness and sincerity, and they will be rewarded with eternal gardens beneath which rivers flow. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi emphasize that this verse highlights the ultimate vindication of those who upheld truth and honesty in their lives, and the mutual pleasure between Allah and His sincere servants represents the highest station in Paradise (ridwan Allah).
