Revelation Context
This ayah appears within Surah As-Saffat's recitation of the histories of the righteous prophets whom Allah honored. The surah emphasizes the ranks of obedient servants and messengers, and this greeting of peace upon Musa and Harun follows the pattern of honoring prophets for their devotion and endurance in their prophetic missions.
