وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ يَوْمُ ٱلْوَعِيدِ 20
Translations
And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat.
Transliteration
Wa nufikha fi as-sūri, dhālika yawmu al-wa'īd
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah describes the blowing of the trumpet (Sūr), which is the signal for the Day of Judgment to commence. According to classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, this refers to Israfīl blowing into the trumpet, an event that will shake the heavens and earth and resurrect all souls.
