لَّا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَآ أَمْتًا 107
Translations
You will not see therein a depression or an elevation."
Transliteration
Lā tarā fīhā 'iwajan wa lā ammtā
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah describes the perfect flatness and smoothness of the earth on the Day of Judgment, when all mountains will be leveled and the terrain will be completely even. Classical scholars like Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir explain that 'iwaj (crookedness) and 'amtt (unevenness/hollows) will be entirely absent, reflecting the complete transformation of creation. And the Day those who disbelieved are exposed to the Fire [it will be said], "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will say, "Then taste the punishment for what you used to deny."
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ ۚ وَنَحْشُرُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا
The Day the Horn will be blown. And We will gather the criminals, that Day, blue-eyed.
وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِٱلنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰٓ أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
And it is He who takes your souls by night and knows what you have committed by day. Then He revives you therein [i.e., by day] that a specified term may be fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return; then He will inform you about what you used to do.
