This ayah declares that for the righteous believers, there is the 'Dar al-Salam' (the House of Peace), which refers to Paradise, prepared for them in the presence of their Lord. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, Allah Himself is their Protector and Guardian because of the righteous deeds they performed in this life, emphasizing that Paradise is earned through obedience and good actions. The ayah affirms the divine justice—that reward is commensurate with one's deeds, and that Allah personally oversees the affairs of those who worked righteously.

Revelation Context

This ayah appears in the context of Surah Al-An'am's discussion of divine guidance and the consequences of following or rejecting it. It comes after verses addressing those who reject the signs of Allah, creating a contrast between the fate of the righteous and the misguided. The surah emphasizes Allah's authority and justice in rewarding those who believe and obey.
