Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah affirms that for those who practice taqwa (God-consciousness and piety), there is a place of success and triumph in the Hereafter. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi explain that 'mafaza' (مفازة) literally means a place of safety and escape, metaphorically representing Paradise and deliverance from punishment. The ayah emphasizes the certain reward awaiting the righteous, establishing a direct correlation between piety in this life and ultimate success in the next.
