لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ 58
Translations
Of it, [from those] besides Allāh, there is no remover.
Transliteration
Laysa laha min doonil-lahi kashifah
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah emphasizes that no one has the power to avert or reveal Allah's divine decree except Allah Himself. The word 'kashifah' (one who uncovers/removes) refers to the calamities and trials that Allah sends, indicating that neither angels nor any created being can intercede to change Allah's will without His permission. The path of Allāh, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Unquestionably, to Allāh do [all] matters evolve [i.e., return].
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلرَّسُولُ بِٱلْحَقِّ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَـَٔامِنُوا۟ خَيْرًا لَّكُمْ ۚ وَإِن تَكْفُرُوا۟ فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
O mankind, the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe; it is better for you. But if you disbelieve - then indeed, to Allāh belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. And ever is Allāh Knowing and Wise.
