An-Nisa · Ayah 69

وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ رَفِيقًا 69

Translations

And whoever obeys Allāh and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allāh has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.

Transliteration

Wa man yuti'i Allaha wa ar-rasula fa-ula'ika ma'a alladhina an'ama Allahu 'alayhim mina an-nabiyyina wa as-siddiqina wa ash-shuhada'i wa as-salihina wa hasuna ula'ika rafiqan

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah promises that whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be granted companionship with the righteous servants of Allah in the afterlife—specifically the Prophets, the Truthful Ones (as-Siddiqun), the Martyrs (ash-Shuhada), and the Righteous (as-Salihun). Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir emphasize that this is an extraordinary honor, as these four categories represent the highest ranks of the righteous, and obedience to Allah and His Messenger in this life is the means to join them in the hereafter.
