Ar-Rahman · Ayah 54

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ 54

Translations

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

Transliteration

Muttakiʾīna ʿalā furushim bataʾinuhā min istabāraqin wa-jannā al-jannatayni dānin

Tafsir (Explanation)

This ayah describes the inhabitants of Paradise reclining on couches whose inner linings are of silk (istabāraq), enjoying the fruits of the two gardens hanging near and within easy reach. Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi note that this depicts the ultimate comfort and abundance of Paradise, where the righteous recline in luxury while fruits are conveniently accessible, symbolizing both ease and the fulfillment of desires without effort or hardship.
