But I am planning a plan.
Transliteration
Wa-akīdu kaydā
Tafsir (Explanation)
This phrase, spoken by the disbelievers in Surah At-Tariq, means 'and I will devise a plot/scheme.' According to classical exegetes like Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir, the disbelievers are arrogantly declaring their intention to plot against the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Islam.
