O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.

Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah warns the children of Adam against Satan's deception, reminding them how he caused their parents' expulsion from Paradise by stripping them of their clothing to expose their shame. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir explain that Satan and his army of jinn possess the ability to see humanity while remaining unseen themselves, using this advantage to tempt and deceive. The ayah concludes that those who reject faith make Satan their ally and protector, emphasizing the spiritual danger of disbelief and susceptibility to Satanic influence.
Revelation Context
This ayah is part of Surah Al-A'raf (a Meccan surah), which discusses the stories of the prophets and humanity's moral struggles. It comes in the context of the narrative about Adam and Eve's creation and their test in Paradise, serving as a historical reminder and warning to listeners about the origin of human vulnerability to temptation and the nature of Satan's enmity toward mankind.
