Al-Baqarah (The Cow) · Ayah 167

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا۟ مِنَّا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ ٱللَّهُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ حَسَرَٰتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَـٰرِجِينَ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ 167

Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allāh show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire.

وَقَالَwaqālaAnd said
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who

لَوْlaw(Only) if
أَنَّanna[that]
لَنَاlanāfor us

كَرَّةًۭkarratana return
فَنَتَبَرَّأَfanatabarra-athen we will disown
مِنْهُمْmin'hum[from] them

كَمَاkamāas
تَبَرَّءُوا۟tabarraūthey disown
مِنَّا ۗminnā[from] us
noun
كَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaThus
noun
يُرِيهِمُyurīhimuwill show them
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah
أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْaʿmālahumtheir deeds
حَسَرَٰتٍḥasarātin(as) regrets
عَلَيْهِمْ ۖʿalayhimfor them
noun
وَمَاwamāAnd not
هُمhumthey
noun
بِخَـٰرِجِينَbikhārijīnawill come out
مِنَminafrom
ٱلنَّارِl-nārithe Fire
