قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ 49
Translations
Say, "O people, I am only to you a clear warner."

Qul ya ayyuha an-nasu innama ana lakum nadhirun mubin
Tafsir (Explanation)
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is commanded to declare to all humanity that his role is solely that of a clear warner, conveying the message of Allah without compulsion or guarantee of acceptance. According to Ibn Kathir and Al-Tabari, this ayah emphasizes the Prophet's responsibility is limited to clear communication of the message; the acceptance or rejection rests with the people themselves.
