ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ 7
Translations
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty.
Transliteration
Thumma la-tarawunnahā 'ayna al-yaqīn
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah refers to the certainty of seeing Hell (Jahannam) with one's own eyes on the Day of Judgment. Classical scholars like Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi explain that 'ayna al-yaqīn (the eye of certainty) denotes absolute, visual confirmation—moving from theoretical knowledge to witnessed reality. The ayah emphasizes that those who were heedless of warnings during their worldly life will witness the consequences of their deeds firsthand.

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ وَٱلصَّـٰبِـِٔينَ وَٱلنَّصَـٰرَىٰ وَٱلْمَجُوسَ وَٱلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ
Indeed, those who have believed and those who were Jews and the Sabeans and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated with Allāh - Allāh will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allāh is, over all things, Witness.
وَأَلْقَتْ مَا فِيهَا وَتَخَلَّتْ
And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it].
