Ibrahim (Abraham) · Ayah 1

الٓر ۚ كِتَـٰبٌ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ ٱلنَّاسَ مِنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ 1

Alif, Lām, Rā. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muḥammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy -

الٓر ۚalif-lam-raAlif Laam Ra
كِتَـٰبٌkitābunA Book
أَنزَلْنَـٰهُanzalnāhuwhich We have revealed
إِلَيْكَilaykato you
noun
لِتُخْرِجَlitukh'rijaso that you may bring out
ٱلنَّاسَl-nāsathe mankind
مِنَminafrom
ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِl-ẓulumātithe darkness[es]
إِلَىilāto
ٱلنُّورِl-nūrithe light
بِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby the permission
رَبِّهِمْrabbihim(of) their Lord
إِلَىٰilāto
صِرَٰطِṣirāṭithe Path
ٱلْعَزِيزِl-ʿazīzi(of) the All-Mighty
عزز'-z-zadjective
ٱلْحَمِيدِl-ḥamīdithe Praiseworthy
