بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا۟ لَعَادُوا۟ لِمَا نُهُوا۟ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ 28
Translations
But what they concealed before has [now] appeared to them. And even if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden; and indeed, they are liars.
Transliteration
Bal bada lahum ma kanu yukhfun min qablu wa law rudduu la'aadu lima nuhuu 'anhu wa innahum lakadhibun
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah states that the disbelievers' hidden secrets and evil deeds became exposed to them on the Day of Judgment, revealing the reality of their actions. There, [on that Day], every soul will be put to trial for what it did previously, and they will be returned to Allāh, their master, the Truth, and lost from them is whatever they used to invent.
