ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ 31
Translations
Then into Hellfire drive him.
Transliteration
Thumma al-jahīma sallūhu
Tafsir (Explanation)
This ayah commands that the disbelievers will be made to enter and endure Hellfire as punishment for their rejection of truth. The verb 'sallūhu' (they will be made to enter/burn in) emphasizes the certainty and active nature of their punishment. And never would your Lord have destroyed the cities until He had sent to their mother [i.e., principal city] a messenger reciting to them Our verses. And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers.
وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
