Yunus (Jonah) · Ayah 68

قَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ۖ لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنْ عِندَكُم مِّن سُلْطَـٰنٍۭ بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ 68

They have said, "Allāh has taken a son." Exalted is He; He is the [one] Free of need. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. You have no authority for this [claim]. Do you say about Allāh that which you do not know?

قَالُوا۟qālūThey say
ٱتَّخَذَittakhadhaAllah has taken
ٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah has taken
وَلَدًۭا ۗwaladana son
سُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۖsub'ḥānahuGlory be to Him
هُوَhuwaHe

ٱلْغَنِىُّ ۖl-ghaniyu(is) the Self-sufficient
لَهُۥlahuTo Him (belongs)

مَاwhatever

فِى(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَاwamāand whatever

فِى(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍithe earth
إِنْinNot
عِندَكُمʿindakumyou have
مِّنminany
سُلْطَـٰنٍۭsul'ṭāninauthority
بِهَـٰذَآ ۚbihādhāfor this

أَتَقُولُونَataqūlūnaDo you say
عَلَىʿalāabout
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
مَاwhat
noun
لَاnot
تَعْلَمُونَtaʿlamūnayou know
